It’s been ten years since I first introduced the Pocket Palette, and it’s hard to believe how much this little tool has evolved over the years.
We’ve had five different iterations that emerged from modified mint tins, pencil boxes, and cardholders. Weighing in at 1.6oz (without paint-filled pans), the Pocket Palette is now in its lightest form ever, and the Demi Palette is half that–great news if you’re an ultra-light traveler.
With each upgrade, we move a step above the previous one in performance and durability. Our efforts to fine-tune every last detail have evolved from many requested features over the years, and we love hearing your feedback.
Here’s a look at what we have improved over the past decade:
- Mixing lid sidewalls: provides both a barrier for paint and lend strength to the overall palette case.
- Uniform lower case edge: even lower now, for easy access to the bottom row of pans.
- Mixing surface: waterproof, smooth, and easy to clean.
- Magnetic base: so your pans won’t fall out during painting excursions.
Not to mention our four flavors of magnet-responsive rust-resistant pans made of spray-coated stainless steel.
Refining our supplies is a never-ending process–a process that keeps us engaged and excited to come up with the next best thing.
