Salish Explorations Exhibit Prints

Salish Explorations opened at the Port Townsend Marine Science Center Gallery on Saturday, May 2nd with a special ArtWalk opening reception with Art Toolkit Founder and Expeditionary Artist Maria Coryell-Martin.

The exhibit features field paintings and sketches from Maria’s Washington State Ferries artist-in-residency and time on the local beaches. Her work highlights how the Salish Sea defines this region through its shifting light and atmosphere. Maria hopes to encourage a deeper appreciation for changing marine landscapes, to see the familiar in a new light, and to seek adventures close to home.
