A whimsical illustration depicting a surreal cityscape at night, with quirky robotic octopuses and floating mechanical devices against a backdrop of dark trees and illuminated buildings. A glowing body of water reflects the scene, creating a fantastical atmosphere.

Port Townsend Film Festival

September 21, 2024, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Join Art Toolkit on Saturday, September 21st, from 10am – 12pm at the Cotton Building (607 Water St, Port Townsend, WA) to browse adventure supplies and demo watercolor palettes during the Port Townsend Film Festival.

We were excited to learn that Max Romey’s short film, If You Give a Beach a Bottle, will have two screenings right here in downtown Port Townsend for our local film festival next month. We have loved working with Max and his team at Trailbound Sketches over the years and jumped at the opportunity to bring some of our (and his!) favorite sketching supplies to the Film Festival.

At our table, we will have palettes, Art Toolkits, and Trail Tiles, a special paper product designed by Max himself to capture stories of the world. Come to the Cotton Building from 10am – 12pm, or our retail shop between 10am and 5pm. You don't need tickets to come visit our table!

About the Film

If You Give a Beach a Bottle is a short film directed by Max Romey. With a small sketchbook, picture book reference, and a twist ending, this short film introduces viewers to the complex issue of marine debris and the need for collaborative and broad-based solutions. Please see the screening page for ticketing information.

Saturday, September 21st at 10am at the Rose Theater
Sunday, September 22nd at 1:30pm at the American Legion
