It is our pleasure to introduce you to Chelsea Ward, @sketchynotions, an artist and plant-lover who creates colorful and whimsical sketches and stationery. Chelsea lives in California, and she loves to travel and sketch. After a rocky early relationship with watercolor, she fell in love with the medium after studying abroad in Italy during college. Now Chelsea uses watercolors daily for her sketching and her stationery and paper goods line, Sketchy Notions. She also hosts art retreats in Italy during the summer to teach others how to sketch and paint Tuscany.

Chelsea usually has a pocket palette filled with Winsor & Newton watercolors in her purse, along with a Mini Pentel Water Brush and a Kaweco Sport fountain pen and mechanical pencil. She also took bookbinding in college, so Chelsea enjoys making a brand new, mixed paper sketchbook before any sketching adventure abroad.
