What to expect
This is a live workshop that will take place on Zoom. During the workshop, you will have a chance to ask the instructor questions and connect with your fellow classmates. After the workshop, we’ll provide you with a recording to review on your own time.
We’ll be in touch the week of the workshop with instructions for connecting and additional information. Please remember to set a reminder for yourself, and adjust for your timezone. Tickets are non-refundable, but we may be able to transfer your ticket to another student if there is a wait list.

Recommended supplies
- Watercolor paper: also a sketchbook or inexpensive paper to practice on.
- Brushes: bring your favorites, Claire will be painting with a #10 round.
- Pencil and eraser
- Waterproof fine-tip pen
- Paper towel or cloth
- Cup for water

Claire encourages you to use what you have and enjoy! The list below are her favorites that she will have on hand. If you’d like to test out her paints, we’ve created an optional Sample Dot Card that you can select at checkout.
- Cobalt Blue (or Ultramarine Blue)
- Phthalo Blue (Green Shade)
- Quinacridone Rose
- Perylene Red (or if that is not available, Pyrrol Scarlet)
- Quinacridone Gold
- Hansa Yellow Medium
- Neutral Tint
- Optional: ruler, or other straight edged object
- Also helpful: a handful of photos from a place you would like to explore during the last 30 minutes of class!

About Claire
Claire Giordano is an environmental artist, writer, and educator creatively exploring the interwoven patterns of people, place, and climate change. In her interdisciplinary work Claire strives to create visual and virtual spaces that foster connections between individuals and our warming world. Claire is also the founder of the Adventure Art Academy, where she teaches immersive virtual art classes filmed on her hiking adventures.
